Roof of moving truck ripped off by Soldiers Field Road bridge

It’s moving day in Boston, and that means trucks getting “Storrowed” on the roads. Sky5 was Soldiers Field Road in Allston, next to the Harvard Stadium, where an overheight U-Haul truck’s roof was ripped off by an overpass at about 11 a.m. The truck appeared loaded with moving boxes, totes and furniture. There are height limits on Soldiers Field, Storrow Drive and Memorial Drive. Drivers are urged to check their vehicle heights and watch for clearance signs. MassDOT said eastbound Soldiers Field Road was closed for a time for bridge inspection and clean-up.
