StormTracker8: Breezy and a tad cooler for Friday


RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — After midnight the rain and thunderstorms will come to an end and we will see our skies slowly become partly cloudy by morning.  It will be a bit breezy with our overnight lows falling back into the lower 50s.

Friday will feature partly sunny skies to start but more sunshine will develop throughout the day possibly to  full sunshine by the afternoon.  Our temperatures will climb only into the middle 60s, and keep in mind that it will be a breezy to windy day across central Virginia as the storm system from today will be departing.

Friday night will be a chilling night with our overnight lows falling back into the middle upper 30s across central Virginia under clear skies.

Saturday will be a sunny day but it will be a touch cool for this time of year with highs only around 60. However, that will make great weather for the ToyotaCare 250 which is Saturday afternoon at Richmond raceway.

A weak weather system will pass just north of the region later Saturday night and early Sunday morning and that will bring us a few more clouds but most of us should remain dry in central Virginia. Our overnight lows will fall back into the lower and middle 40s.

Sunday will be a partly sunny day and it will be pleasant with highs in the middle 60s.

Monday will be another nice day with partly sunny skies and highs around 70.

Clouds will increase during Tuesday and there is the risk of some rain developing later in the day. It will be a seasonable day with highs in the middle to upper 60s

It looks like more rain will be with us for Wednesday and Thursday and our temperatures should remain in the 60s.
