Smyrna teen to compete on Wheel of Fortune tonight during Teen Week

Wheel of Fortune’s Teen Week kicked off earlier this week, and tonight, a Delawarean will take the stage to compete.

The weeklong special features teenagers battling it out to solve hangman-style puzzles for their chance to win new cars, once-in-a-lifetime vacations and cash prizes.

Kaden Nye, a homeschooled eighth grader from Smyrna, will fulfill a lifelong dream when he goes on-air during tonight’s special.

Kaden has always been a fan of the show and watches every night with his parents. He plans to be Pat Sajak, the host of “Wheel of Fortune” since 1981, for Halloween and is excited to meet him in person, according to a spokesperson for the show.

Kaden’s strategy during the game is to take advantage of the letterboard, buy vowel and be “calm as a cucumber,” he said.
