Section of McRae Road to close for road project, drivers advised to use detours

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A section of McRae Road will be closed next week for a pipe replacement project, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).

Starting Monday, March 11, a section of McRae Road between Kenwin Street and Hazen Road will be closed for a pipe replacement project until Thursday, March 14.

Drivers are advised to use the following detours:

  • Southbound traffic: Take McRae Road, east on Kenwin Street and south on Buford Road
  • Northbound traffic: Take McRae Road, east on Hazen Road and north on Buford Road

According to the department, homeowners will maintain access to their property throughout the operation.
