Each piece is handcrafted by 12 artists including Gary Simon, who captures her playful personality through his intricate hand-carvings.“When I was designing the Huggable Hippo Bank, I thought everyone could use a warm hug from our favorite hippo after all that’s happened these past couple of years,” says Simon. “She is a symbol of resilience and hope.”The mug is $35, the huggable hippo bank is $125 and the birthday box goes for $95.
