PREVIEW: Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond Raceway

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Toyota Owners 400, Richmond Raceway’s first nighttime race in three years, is taking place this weekend. Here’s what you need to know ahead of race day.

The green flag for the Toyota Owners 400 will fly at 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 31. The race, which will be broadcast on FOX, will be 300 miles, or 400 laps around the .75-mile track.

Notable drivers include Kyle Larson, last year’s Toyota Owners 400 winner, as well as Chris Buescher, the winner of last year’s Cook Out 400 at Richmond Raceway, and Denny Hamlin, a Chesterfield County native who has won four NASCAR Cup Series Races in Richmond and 52 overall.

The race is taking place on Easter Sunday, and an Easter service will take place beforehand. Team owner Joe Gibbs and driver Corey Lajoie will be speaking and four-time Grammy Award-winning musician Michael Tait will be performing. The service is free, but registration is required.
