Police: 52-year-old Chesterfield man missing, risk to safety due to ‘cognitive impairment’


CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Chesterfield County Police Department is searching for a missing man whose disappearance could pose a threat to his wellbeing.

According to police, 52-year-old Derrick J. Morgan was last seen at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, walking away from his home in the 3000 block of Shady Hollow Circle.

“Morgan is new to the area and has been diagnosed with a cognitive impairment,” the department said in a release.

Morgan is described as a Black man with brown hair and brown eyes. He is about 5’11” and weighs about 160 pounds. When he was last seen, he was wearing blue sweatpants with orange stripes and a blue hoodie.
