The provincial president hopes a second fundraiser further relieves the pressure bearing down on Ukrainians.”They have lost loved ones in the war, especially their children or their spouses,” Hickey said. “There’s a moment of safety and relief that I think that all the volunteers working at the border and elsewhere are giving to these refugees.”Notre Dame Sisters will send alms and collections from Monday’s online fundraiser to their headquarters in the Czech republic.Ukraine flags are fashioned across the campus.
