Missing 16-year-old girl identified as body found near Charter Colony Parkway

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Chesterfield County Police Department has identified the body that was found near Charter Colony Parkway on Thursday as a 16-year-old girl who was previously reported missing.

Police have identified the body as Laura C. Harris, of the Midlothian area of Chesterfield County.

This comes after officers with the Chesterfield County Police Department were called to the 2300 block of Charter Colony Parkway at 12:16 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, after a female body was found.

Harris was previously reported missing on Monday, March 4, according to police.

Police said Harris’ cause of death has not yet been determined, but at this point, there are no signs of foul play.
