Male victim shot in Greensville, died at local hospital

GREENSVILLE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A person is dead following a shooting in Greensville County on Friday.

At about 3 p.m. on Friday, March 22, the Greensville County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call regarding a person shot. According to the office, its officers responded to the 1300 block of Dry Bread Road alongside units with the Greensville Volunteer Rescue Squad.

First responders found the victim, an unidentified male, at the scene. According to the office, he was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing. The office did not provide any information about a potential suspect or motive.
