House fire in Hanover causes evacuation, under investigation


HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A house fire in Hanover County which forced the occupants to evacuate is currently under investigation.

According to Hanover County Fire and EMS, units responded to a home on the 10900 block of Emerald Rock Lane just before 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 19 for a report of a house fire.

Units found fire coming from the back and roof of a two-story home. All occupants made it out safely before crews made it to the home and the fire was brought under control at around 8:32 p.m., it is not known whether there were any injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
