‘Flower Man’ goes viral at cousin’s wedding in North Beach

NORTH BEACH, Md. — A Maryland man has gone viral for stealing the show at a family wedding.

Brittany Waters-Havenhill says she asked her cousin, Marcus Adams, the be the flower man at her wedding.

The ceremony was held July 1 at Herrington on the Bay in North Beach.

Adams accepted the offer and put on quite the performance, which was captured on video.

As of Tuesday, the video of Adams on TikTok has more than 587,000 likes, nearly 8,800 shares, and over 3,200 comments. It has been viewed more than 4 million times.

Adams, the Flower Daddy, a name given to him by the groom.

The bride and groom are supposed to be nervous before the wedding.

But this took it to a new level.

Adams’ car broke down on the way to the wedding. There was no rehearsal, no preparation and really no flowers or basket just minutes before the wedding.

So what did Adams do to prepare? He did what any upstanding guy would do — he made it up on the spot.

“I just had to wing it and do it,” Adams said.

The Flower Daddy has gotten more than 100 requests to do that for other weddings, and even a few interested ladies.

Adams made it clear he is spoken for.

So now, a couple of days have gone by and this little dance has gotten some attention.

“It feels good, it’s just real crazy,” Adams said.

Adams said he isn’t sure if he will give a command performance of Flower Daddy but he’s leaning that way.

“You can find me on Instagram at penny_freeway or on Facebook as Marcus Adams,” Adams said.
