Driver arrested for hitting pedestrian on Staples Mill Road

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Henrico police are investigating what led to a driver hitting a pedestrian on Staples Mill Road Monday morning.

Around 2 A.M., on January 29th, police say a pedestrian was hit by a car and suffered life-threatening injuries. The driver drove away from the scene, but was later appehended by officers.

As a result of the accident, the west bound lanes of Staples Mill Road between Bremner Boulevard and Wister Road were shut down, but have since reopened.
