I know it wasn’t intentional,” Woods said. “People who are mentally ill need help and community, family, loved ones. The court system needs to give them the help that they need.”Woods said she did speak with her son Tuesday, although she wouldn’t share what she said, saying that needs to stay between a mother and son.Brooks will be back in court Monday afternoon for a scheduling conference as the court plans for his sentencing.
