Crash on I-95 South causes 2.5 mile backup in Sussex County

SUSSEX COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A vehicle crash on Interstate 95 southbound has caused lane closures and significant delays in Sussex County.

The crash was first reported by VDOT at 7:18 p.m. and is located near the Stony Creek exit.

All southbound lanes have been closed as a result of the crash. There is currently a 2.5-mile backup, according to VDOT.

Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes and expect delays.
