Carytown Burger and Fries Lakeside restaurant catches fire one month after fire engulfed Richmond location

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Henrico County Division of Fire is investigating after a fire occurred at the Carytown Burger and Fries Lakeside restaurant.

At around 7 a.m., on Saturday, Feb. 24, fire officials responded to Carytown Burger and Fries Lakeside, located at 5404 Lakeside Avenue, for a report of a fire.

According to Henrico County fire marshal Henry Rosenbaum, there was “not a lot of fire.” At 8:30 a.m., fire units were reported to have cleared from the scene.

The business was not open at the time of the fire, according to Rosenbaum.

The Henrico County Fire Division is working with the business owners and looking at surveillance footage to determine the cause of the fire.

The fire comes about one month after a large fire engulfed the Carytown Burger and Fries location in Richmond, which caused significant damage to the restaurant.
