A Milwaukee man on the FBI’s Top 10 Most Wanted fugitives list has been captured. Octaviano Juarez-Corro was arrested Thursday night in Zapopan, Guadalajara, Mexico.He was wanted for his alleged involvement in the killing of two people and the attempted murder of three others. On May 29, 2006, Juarez-Corro allegedly shot and killed two individuals execution-style and wounded three others at a picnic at South Shore Park.The shooting happened during the Memorial Day weekend.Agents said he targeted his estranged ex-wife and her family members.She survived.”As far as what made this so special? It’s the egregious acts that he committed,” Special Agent Robert Hughes said. “Basically he tried to execute five people or more and the place where it took place was a public park, on Memorial Day, with hundreds of people around.”A felony warrant for Juarez-Corro was issued on June 1, 2006, on two counts of first-degree intentional homicide and three counts of first-degree attempted intentional homicide. The United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin issued a federal arrest warrant for Juarez-Corro on June 2, 2006. He was charged federally with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. Agents said he has ties to Wisconsin and California but may also be in Mexico. Milwaukee Police Chief Jeffrey Norman was a homicide detective and remembered being called to the scene.”Having that burned in your head in regards to the heinous acts that took place that day, it does give it the level of urgency and importance in regards as having these efforts put forth,” he said.Juarez-Corro was considered armed and dangerous. https://www.facebook.com/wisn12/videos/151979267090307/[/facebook
