Brewers search for man ‘friend zoned’ during Monday night’s game

The Milwaukee Brewers are searching for a man named Mark who was apparently put in the “friend zone” at Monday night’s game. It happened in the form of a paid scoreboard message that read “Mark, your friendship means the world to me. Let’s not wreck it.” Brewers fan Diana Seegert snapped a photo of the message from her ballpark seats. “I’m like, ‘No! Somebody didn’t really put this up,'” she told WISN 12 News Tuesday. Seegert posted the photo on her Twitter, and it took off. Brewers star Christian Yelich even got in on it after a thrilling walk-off victory. He tweeted, “Down 2 in the 8th inning, the dugout looked up, saw this, and said ‘Let’s win one for Mark.’ We got you man.” Being put in the “friend zone” is when one person wants to turn a friendship into a romantic relationship while the other person does not.”My guy Mark’s in the dog pound a little bit,” Marquette student Isaac Sieplak said. “Our hearts are with him through this difficult time,” Isaac’s friend Johnny Zacher added. The short scoreboard messages are a fundraiser for the Brewers Community Foundation. “We’re intrigued, as well. We hope he’s doing okay today, but yes, we’re looking for Mark, too,” team spokesperson Leslie Stachowiak said. As the team searches for Mark, Seegret offers her support. “Like a lot of posters said, we’ve all been there, Mark, and there’s clearly somebody else out there for you,” she said.
