A 49-year-old woman died Tuesday afternoon after crashing her moped near Rehoboth Beach, Delaware State Police said.
Troopers responded to Hebron Road at Canal Crossing Road just before 2:30 p.m. for reports of the wreck. There, they found Darla Becker, of Wilmington, badly hurt.
Police said she was trying to navigate a “sharp curve” in the road when she lost control. Her scooter hit the curb, knocking her off.
Becker was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where she died. Police continue to investigate.
