A 35-year-old woman was fatally shot in Wilmington’s Upper East Side on Wednesday night, according to the Wilmington Police Department.
She has been identified by police as Katelyn Nance.
Police said they were called at 10:39 p.m. to the 1000 block of Bennett St. on Wednesday, where they found the 35-year-old with a gunshot wound. Nance was taken to the hospital, where she later died.
The shooting is still under investigation.
