The 50th annual White Marlin Open is set to kick off Monday morning, and the tournament announced Sunday evening how many boats would be competing and what would be at stake in this year’s competition.
There will be 400 boats competing in this year’s edition of the world’s largest billfishing tournament, and there will be a world record amount of money on the line, as the anglers compete for $10.3 million in overall prize money.
The 2022 White Marlin Open had 408 boats competing for $8.6 million, meaning this year’s tournament will have almost $2 million more on the line.
