RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Drivers in the Northside of Richmond are encouraged to be mindful of these two upcoming lane closures.
Chamberlayne Avenue and Westbrook Avenue
From Monday, Jan. 22, until Friday, Feb. 2, there will be a daily closure from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Chamberlayne Avenue and Westbrook Avenue.
All travel lanes through this intersection will be closed temporarily until work is complete.
According to the City of Richmond Department of Public Works, a contractor will be installing bored conduit and junction boxes in the intersection.
Hermitage Road and Westbrook Avenue
From Wednesday, Jan. 24, until Friday, Jan. 26, there will be daily lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the intersection of Hermitage Road and Westbrook Avenue.
The lane near the curb and the median lane, as well as the sidewalk, will be closed for the duration of construction.
According to the City of Richmond Department of Public Works, this is a part of the HSIP Pedestrian Improvements at Signalized Intersections Phase 2 project. Contractors will be repairing sections of the sidewalk and installing pedestrian signal equipment.
