WATCH: FBI timeline video shows Huguenot High School graduation shooting, arrest of Amari Pollard

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A timeline video compiled by the FBI shows the moments leading up to and immediately following the deadly shooting that occurred after Huguenot High School’s graduation ceremony on June 6, 2023.

Recent graduate Shawn Jackson and his step-father Lorenzo Smith were killed in the shooting. Five other people were shot but survived.

The video was made available to the public following the conviction and sentencing of Amari Pollard, who pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and using a firearm in the commission of a felony in connection to Jackson’s death.

Pollard pleaded guilty on the fourth day of his scheduled five-day jury trial and was sentenced to 43 years with 18 years suspended. He will serve 25 years behind bars.

Authorities have not identified any other suspects in the shooting and questions remain as to who is responsible for the shooting of Smith and the five other victims.

Court records indicate that two of Jackson’s friends have been charged with reckless handling of a firearm.
