WATCH: Chesterfield Police announce that 11-year-old girl was found during briefing

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Chesterfield County Police Department announced that a missing 11-year-old girl was found and is okay during a briefing Tuesday morning.

The briefing was held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 19, at Central Baptist Church.

A police spokesperson provided details regarding the search efforts of multiple organizations, after which a brief pause was held while new information became available.

The spokesperson then announced that 11-year-old Isabelle Pittera was found south of her home in a wooded area and is safe.

This comes after police announced on Monday, March 18, that Pittera was believed to have left her home on the 11400 block of Rockmont Court at around 5:30 p.m. on Monday, March 18.
