Virginia State Police seize nearly $500,000 in fentanyl, Chesterfield man charged


CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A Chesterfield County man has been charged following the seizure of over 6 pounds of fentanyl, valued at nearly $500,000, from his home.

According to Virginia State Police, 45-year-old Anthony Pollard has been charged with two felonies — both the possession with the intent to distribute and the transporting of a controlled substance into Virginia.

Investigators reportedly discovered about 3,000 grams of fentanyl in powdered form inside of Pollard’s home. According to state police, this amount of fentanyl has an estimated value of $492,000.

Virginia State Police said this investigation is still ongoing.
