A Frederica man has been charged with vehicular homicide following a fatal crash on Bowers Beach Road, north of Frederica, on Sunday evening.
At about 6 p.m., 26-year-old Dillon Satterfield was driving a Cadillac DTS west on Bowers Beach Road, east of Skeeter Neck Road, according to Delaware State Police. He crossed the double-yellow line multiple times to pass westbound vehicles, police said, before colliding head-on with an eastbound Volkswagen Tiguan.
Everyone involved in the crash was properly restrained, police said.
Satterfield was flown to a hospital and is in critical condition, according to police, as is the 69-year-old Lewes man who was driving the Volkswagen. His passenger, a 69-year-old Lewes woman, was pronounced dead at a hospital. Police will identify her after her family is notified.

Bowers Beach Road was closed for about four hours while police investigated.
Upon his release from the hospital, police said, Satterfield will be charged with felony second-degree vehicular homicide, felony first-degree vehicular assault, driving under the influence of alcohol and traffic offenses.
