The University of Delaware will welcome more than 4,000 first-year students to Newark during fall move-in this year.
Early move-in for Blue Hens began Wednesday.
Traditional move-in started Friday, Aug. 25, and continues Saturday, Aug. 26, for new students, with times staggered between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. to help ease traffic and congestion in the area and in the buildings. Each student received a specific check-in time.
Returning sophomores, juniors and seniors will move into their rooms on Sunday, Aug. 27, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Those who did not receive a specific check-in time must move in at some point during the given timeframe.
All students should have received an email with their room assignments, building directions and parking tags for the day. Each student and their family will have a 20-minute window of arrival and two hours available for moving in order to manage traffic around Newark and decrease congestion in residence halls.

The first day of classes at the University of Delaware is Tuesday, Aug. 29.
