RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Donald Trump, former president and frontrunner for this year’s Republican presidential nomination, made a campaign appearance in Richmond on Saturday.
Trump’s visit to Richmond on Saturday, March 2, comes just days before Super Tuesday — the day Virginians and millions of others across the nation will cast their ballot in this year’s presidential primaries.
Throughout his speech, Trump criticized President Joe Biden at one point calling him a “stupid fool.”

“With your help, we will win on Super Tuesday — and this November, Virginia will tell crooked Joe Biden ‘you’re fired,’” Trump told a crowd of thousands at the Greater Richmond Convention Center.
Trump added that, if elected, securing the southern border will be his top priority something Woodbridge Resident Scott Knuth is his top concern.
“We have no idea who is in our country,” Knuth said. “You can walk down the street — my friend lives up in Brooklyn and they worry about riding the subway and whether they are going to be hurt.”
Knuth told 8News that he believes Trump will provide him security.
“Trump is going to be the only man who is able to save America after what’s going on in our country,” he said.
Meanwhile, Henrico native Winston Devisser says it’s the economy that’s driving him to support Trump.
“Many people in this part of the world are struggling with prices going up, the gas prices, to groceries, everything has gone up,” Devisser said.
If you are looking to participate in this year’s presidential primary, polls are open in Virginia from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
