Breaking news: This year’s TribFest is happening Sept. 5-7 in downtown Austin!
Get ready for our 14th annual Texas Tribune Festival, a multiday celebration of the big, bold ideas that drive politics, policy and the day’s news.
Each and every year, conversations happening on TribFest stages make and break news, and this year is no exception. We’ll dig into the 2024 elections, Texas and national politics, the state of democracy, and more, with conversations curated by the Tribune’s award-winning journalists.
This year’s Festival is also a special one, as it serves as the culmination of the Tribune’s yearlong We the Texans initiative, which aims to elevate the voices of our readers and Texans. At TribFest, we’ll host programs and interactive sessions focused on what we’ve learned in our conversations with communities about the state of our democracy in Texas, the power of civic engagement and how Texas institutions are working on behalf of Texans.
Taking the TribFest stages for live, unscripted conversations are household names in politics, policy and journalism alongside the changemakers shaping the future of business, energy, media, education, philanthropy and more.
What happens on our stages, however, is only half the story. The thrill of TribFest continues when the conversations continue off stage. As an attendee, you’ll join thousands from all over Texas (and the country) who bring a passion for the issues, a curiosity to hear new ideas and a commitment to take what they’ve learned back home to their communities.
The pre-party kicks off the evening of Wednesday, Sept. 4, with our Franklin Barbecue feast. We’ll have programs throughout the day Thursday, Sept. 5, before our opening keynote at Austin’s historic Paramount Theatre. Friday the 6th brings a jam-packed schedule of events all over downtown Austin, and on Saturday, Sept. 7, we go even bigger when we close down a few blocks of Austin’s iconic Congress Avenue for a free, daylong street fest of conversations and fun interactive experiences from TribFest partners and supporters. TribFeast, our dinner fundraiser to support our nonprofit newsroom, will be Friday night, along with political trivia and a film screening. And we close the Festival Saturday night back at the Paramount with our closing keynote.
TribFest will be here sooner than you think. Be sure to sign up for Festival updates now, so you can learn more about our lineup and other exciting program announcements. We’ll be sharing our first batch of big names joining us in Austin before #TribFest24tickets go on sale this spring. We’ll have discounts for Tribune members, students and educators, as well as opportunities to upgrade your Festival experience.
See you this September!
