A family saved from a raging fire when a woman knocked on their door in the middle of the night is saying the stranger is more than a hero.“That’s an angel,” said the children’s father Josh Ellis. “She saved our family, no exaggeration about that. She stayed and she saved our family. I mean, the house was ablaze.”“All of the other outcomes that could have happened if she wouldn’t have stopped and knocked on the door,” the children’s mother Brittany Downing said as her voice shook. “I don’t know if me and him would be here today for them kids.”The woman appears on a doorbell camera knocking and yelling at 1:06 a.m. July 5.“You guys’, garage is on fire!” Haily “Moss” Strong screamed. The family was unaware the house was on fire. The way the wind was blowing, no one inside could smell the smoke and smoke detectors were not going off even though the garage was already completely engulfed.Everyone got out, including the parents and their nine children.“I didn’t know how many people were in the house, let alone there were that many kids,” Strong said.Strong and the family was reunited for the first time since the fire. The strangers are now calling each other family and there’s another name the those saved are calling the woman who saved them.“You’re such an angel, I swear you are,” said one family member as she hugged Strong.“It was really beautiful. I was surprised at how much emotion I felt. Obviously, I was happy to be able to help them out and to get them out ok, but it was great to see them in person,” Strong said.
