A 16-year-old has been charged in a Blades shooting death that occurred in June.
Just before 11 p.m. June 19, Delaware State Police responded to a shots-fired complaint in the area of East Fourth Street and found 20-year-old Tajhon M. Hammond lying on the side of the road, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Following an investigation, police said, a warrant was obtained for the arrest of a 16-year-old male. He already was in custody at the Ferris School in Wilmington, where he was charged with first-degree murder, first-degree robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, police said.

He was arraigned in Family Court and remains in the custody of the Division of Youth Rehabilitative Services on a $130,000 cash bond.
