Canada and Ireland will go head-to-head on July 26 in a key match for their group in the 2023 World Cup.

Canada and Ireland, both in Group B alongside Nigeria and Australia, will play their second game in this year’s World Cup.

While host nation Australia holds first place in Group B heading into Wednesday’s action, Canada came into the tournament as a possible team to beat after winning gold at the Tokyo Olympics. Canada came into the 2023 World Cup ranked No. 7 in the FIFA world rankings, while Ireland was placed at No. 22.

In its last game, Canada ended in a 0-0 draw with Nigeria. Ireland lost 1-0 to Australia.
