Severe thunderstorm watches are in effect statewide until 6 p.m. this Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.
A cold front is expected to move across the Mid-Atlantic region today, bringing the potential for severe thunderstorms, with the greatest chance later tonight. Minor coastal flooding is possible, according to NWS, but the possibility of widespread hazardous weather is low.
Delaware can expect wind gusts as high as 30 mph during the day, with showers and a possible thunderstorm before 11 p.m. and additional showers between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m.
