A second passenger traveling in a Subaru Outback that was involved in a two-car crash Saturday afternoon north of Lewes has died, according to Delaware State Police.
The second victim, a 104-year-old Lewes woman, died on Sunday from her injuries, said Senior Cpl. Jason Hatchell, a police spokesperson. While she has not been named, police identified the 73-year-old Lewes woman who died on Saturday as Carol Greblunas.
Three others were injured in the crash that took place about 3:40 p.m. Saturday on Minos Conaway Road.
The women’s deaths add to an already brutal year on Delaware roads, which are experiencing the second-highest number of traffic fatalities since the state started keeping records. There have been 153 traffic fatalities so far this year.
Delaware’s record number of traffic fatalities occurred in 1988 when the state saw 165 people killed.

The Lexus’ driver, a 69-year-old man from Lewes, and his passenger, a 68-year-old woman from Lewes, were taken to an area hospital for serious injuries. The Subaru driver was also taken to an area hospital for serious injuries.
