A 36-year-old man died after he was found with multiple gunshot wounds outside his Seaford apartment early Wednesday.
DeShawn Blackwell was sitting outside his Woodland Mills Apartments complex, located in the 900 block of Woodland Mills Drive, when someone approached him about 12:20 a.m. and began shooting, according to Seaford police.
The shooter then fled on foot.
Arriving officers found Blackwell, who was then taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
This is Seaford’s first shooting so far this year. The last shooting reported in Seaford occurred on Oct. 25, when two 27-year-old men were shot inside the Woodland Mills Apartments.
