Sophomore outside hitter Cody Popp of Salesianum has been named Player of the Year and leads the All-State team selected by the Delaware Boys Volleyball Coaches Association.
The versatile Popp totaled 109 kills, 25 aces, 22 blocks, 44 digs and 149 assists as the Sals went 17-1, reaching the championship match of the first DIAA Boys Volleyball Tournament before falling to Cape Henlopen.
Joining Popp on the All-State first team are five more outside hitters: Cape Henlopen senior Brady Lamb, Dickinson senior J.P. Perdomo, Charter of Wilmington senior K.J. Shahan, Cape Henlopen junior Talan Stephens and Delcastle senior Zackary Tjaden.
Indian River senior Caleb Galbreath and Salesianum sophomore Reid Mass are the middle blockers on the first team, while Delaware Military Academy senior Shane Neidlein was the lone setter selected to the first team.

Delcastle’s Roy Soto was named Coach of the Year after guiding the Cougars to a 16-1 season in their third year as a varsity program.
Tatnall earned the Team Sportsmanship Award.
