A group of three people robbed a man in a Wawa parking lot in Dover on Saturday night in a road rage incident, according to the Dover Police Department.
Police said that the man and at least one passenger were driving east on Forrest Avenue and pulled into the parking lot of the Wawa at 1424 Forrest Ave. at 9:53 p.m. They were approached by a man with a baseball bat who believed that the driver had cut him off, according to police.
The man shattered the passenger-side window, injuring the person sitting there, police said. He was then joined by two women, who forced the driver to leave the car and withdraw an “undisclosed amount” of money from the ATM at the Wawa.
The women and the man with the baseball bat took the cash and drove off in a black Ford F-150.
The incident is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Dover Police Department at 302-736-7130 or call Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333.
