RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The University of Richmond Spiders are NCAA Tournament bound after winning the Atlantic 10 Tournament championship game for women’s basketball against the University of Rhode Island on Sunday.
The final score of the Sunday, March 10 game was 65-51, with the No. 1 seed Richmond Spiders taking home the win against the No. 6 seed Rhode Island Rams in the A-10 Tournament.
Spiders player Maggie Doogan scored the highest points for her team with a total of 18.
The Richmond Spiders women’s basketball team has now secured a spot in the NCAA Tournament, also known as March Madness.
