Rehoboth Beach’s April 22 auction will give the public a chance to bid on city memorabilia, heavy equipment and items left by beachgoers, among other things.
Emmert Auction Associates will auction off boardwalk benches, lifeguard signs and parking meters. Available “items folks left behind on their vacations,” as the city put it in a news release, will include jewelry, phones and more.
Larger items will include:
- Two Ford F350 trucks equipped with service bodies that include toolboxes and a lift gate
- A small trash truck with an 8-cubic yard box
- Up to 1,000 electronic parking meters
- A Case 620D front-end loader
- A John Deere 6420 tractor (used at one time to pull the beach rake)
- A John Deere zero-turn mower
- Two large, pull-behind generators.
The event, to be held at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center, will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 22. Auction items can be previewed from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, April 21, and 8 to 9 a.m. Saturday, April 22. Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted.
