Delaware State Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a suspect in a serious assault that took place Sunday just outside Dewey Beach.
Around 1:30 a.m. on Coastal Highway, outside Fifer’s Farm Kitchen, a 22-year-old man was attacked. His jaw and nose were broken and he received “extensive medical treatment” at a hospital, according to police.
“The reason behind the assault remains unclear, but we believe that the victim was attacked by one person, most likely a male,” said Delaware State Police spokesman Leonard DeMalto.

Anyone who witnessed or has information related to the attack should contact Cpl. M. Aberman at 302-703-3363 or send a Facebook message to Delaware State Police. Information can be submitted anonymously via Delaware Crime Stoppers.
