A 27-year-old man was killed when his motorcycle left the road near Centreville and crashed into a large rock, Delaware State Police said.
The Pennsylvania motorcyclist was not immediately identified, pending next of kin notification.

The crash occurred about 11:45 am. Sunday as the motorcyclist was southbound on Brandywine Creek Road from the area of Beaver Dam Road, said Sgt. India Sturgis, a police spokesperson.
The motorcycle entered a left curve, causing the motorcyclist to lose control and drift off the west edge of the roadway where it struck a large rock, according to police.
“The operator of the motorcycle, who was wearing a helmet during the collision, was transported to an area hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries,” Sturgis said.
The roadway was closed for about three hours.
