HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Pactamere Farm in Hanover County held its second annual Spring Fling event during Easter weekend with an egg hunt, goat yoga, bounce house and more.
Pactamere Farm kicked off Easter weekend on Saturday, March 30 with a two-day Spring Fling event with many small goats, treats and egg hunts.
Children under the age of 11 hunted for eggs in the farm’s pasture with baby goats, and a “golden goat egg” was hidden for the chance to earn a special prize.
The Easter Bunny also made a visit to the farm alongside his friends the baby goats and chicks.
Attendees could also feed alpacas, make crafts, do goat yoga, as well as enjoy a food truck and bounce house.
Pactamere Farm’s Eric Evans said a lot of the farm’s events are all about interacting with livestock.
“I think a lot of people have no clue exactly how friendly these animals can be, especially the goats,” Evans said.
Pactamere Farm’s Katie Cunningham said these events make people happy as they get to be around animals. She said they love the idea of people visiting the farm and getting a glimpse of life on the farm as most live in the city.
“We just love animals, we love the idea of people being able to see livestock as friendly,” Cunningham said. “We just love having people come out and enjoy the animals as much as we do.”
