Three lanes of I-95 south are closed at Route 273 due to an overturned tractor-trailer, causing major backups on the interstate.
The Delaware Department of Transportation first issued a traffic alert just after 6 a.m. It later updated the alert to say the three left lanes of the interstate are closed.
It’s unclear what caused the tractor-trailer to overturn, but backups stretch north to the Route 141 exit.
Roads around the Christiana Mall are clogged. DelDOT did not provide an estimated time for the road to fully reopen.
