One person hospitalized after water rescue at Boys Town in Omaha


One person was in extremely critical condition after a water rescue Friday in Omaha, according to authorities.Around 8:24 a.m., law enforcement reported that a water rescue was in progress after a mower went into the water at Boys Town with a person underneath it.First responders attempted CPR, before taking the victim to a local hospital in extremely critical condition, according to authorities.Boys Town Police Chief William Clark said this area by the lake gets mowed regularly.”The embankment is a normal embankment, that is mowed on a regular basis out here by our maintenance ground, it is encompassed around the lake area,” Clark said.Boys Town police and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is now investigating what happened.The victim hasn’t been identified.
