NOW THE QUESTION IS WILL THE GOVERNOR GRANT THAT CLEMENCY CODDINGTON AND HIS ATTORNEY ARGUE THAT HE’S A CHANGED MAN. NOT THE SAME ADDICT THAT TOOK THE LIFE OF ALBERT HALE BACK IN 1997 OVER DRUG MONEY. HAS LIVED OUT A TRANSFORMATION ON DEATH ROW. THIS TRANSFORMATION HAS REVEALED HIS INNATE GOODNESS. THAT MOVES SET TO BEGIN THIS THURSDAY WITH JAMES COTTINGTON’S EXECUTION UNLESS OF COURSE THE GOVERNOR DECIDES TO RECOMMEND CLEMENCY BEFORE THURSDAY. Executions in Oklahoma are scheduled to resume after a judge ruled in March that the state’s execution method does not violate death row inmates’ constitutional rights. The first execution since then is scheduled for Thursday with Coddington unless Stitt intervenes and grants clemency.
The state has scheduled at least one execution each month through January.
