Officer rescues two baby ospreys from fallen tree in Lusby
Two baby ospreys were rescued Tuesday from under a fallen tree.Officer First Class Lopez, of the Maryland Department of Natural Resources police, rescued the two birds after a call that they were in distress. Apparently, a tree containing the two baby ospreys fell due to a storm, resulting in the destruction of their nest. Unfortunately, the birds could not fly due to the heavy rain.The officer safely secured the birds. They were taken to a local wildlife clinic for care.
