With inclement weater predicted for New Year’s Eve, Ocean City has made major adjustments to its plans to welcome in 2023.
As the town posted on Facebook, the downtown drive-in movies, scheduled for 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., will be moved indoors to the Performing Arts Center. Both shows, “Encanto” and “Top Gun: Maverick,” are free, but seating is limited and will be offered on a first come, first serve basis.

Princess Anne makes own rain plan for New Year’s Eve
Princess Anne has also made a rain plan in case of inclement weather, but for now still plans to let Marshall Muskrat do his annual drop outdoors on New Year’s Eve.
The stuffed muskrat will drop down a zip line at midnight on New Year’s Eve, and before that, there will be family-friendly festivities, music, and food and beverages starting at 9 p.m.

However, as Main Street Princess Anne said on Facebook: “A little rain in the forecast doesn’t bother us! Muskrats are well adapted for for water – and so are we.”
So, the festivities will go on, but in case of rain revelers will have access to The Washington Inn & Tavern, Squeaky’s Cafe, UMES Hawks Corner and the Princess Anne Vol. Fire Company. For information, go to https://www.mainstreetprincessanne.org/
