RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — They get up to more than just racing at Richmond Raceway! Fans gathered at the track before Sunday’s Toyota Owners 400 NASCAR Cup Series race to pet animals, celebrate Easter and more.
Before engines start revving at 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 31, NASCAR fans are having a blast enjoying the food, on-site vendors and displays. On top of this, fans were able to participate in several planned events at the track.
An Easter service was held at the Virginia Credit Union Live! Amphitheater beginning at 3 p.m. Sunday. It featured team owner Joe Gibbs, Richmond’s own NASCAR Cup Series driver Corey LaJoie and four-time Grammy award-winning musician Michael Tait.
Fans of all ages got to enjoy the “Teeny Tiny Farm Petting Zoo” and all of its adorable animals, including several Easter-appropriate bunnies.
