New Castle County public safety officials put out an emergency alert ordering residents to evacuate Waterford Trailer Park in New Castle at 2:40 p.m. According to Christiana Fire Company’s run log, firefighters were called to the trailer park near Donna Marie Way at 2:13 p.m. for reports of a gas leak.
Residents were asked to report to the Waterford Estates office at Joan Drive and Porter Road until first responders determine it is safe to return home. Emergency vehicles blocked all entrances and exits, according to police scanners.
