A New Castle man has been charged with fatally stabbing a 26-year-old woman last week inside a hotel in Fairfax, police said.
Jesse Nartey, 19, faces charges of first-degree murder and a weapons offense.
Nartey and the Philadelphia woman were sharing a room on Friday at the SureStay Plus Hotel By Best Western Brandywine Valley, located at 1807 Concord Pike, when Delaware State Police Senior Cpl. Leonard DeMalto said the two began arguing.
During the argument, Nartey became enraged, drew a knife and began stabbing the woman, DeMalto said.
Then, about 5 p.m., Nartey called emergency operators to say what had occurred, DeMalto said.
